Five from Transworld

Last week Alison Barrow and Patsy Irwin of Penguin-Random House’s Transworld Imprint invited a series of book reviewers, journalists, booksellers and editors to showcase five debuts they are publishing in 2017.

It was great joining my colleagues Ayo Onatade of Shots, Mike Carlson, Maxim Jakubowski, Barry Forshaw to name a few of the London critics who attended to see what Transworld have in store for 2017.

We all know that this important imprint of Penguin-Random House were the force behind this book, which has remained a worldwide bestseller and made the name Paula Hawkins ubiquitous among bibliophiles, and now also known to film viewers.

So armed with advanced review copies we all headed to London’s West-End to see what Transworld have in store for 2017 in terms of debut work. Shots eZine have all these five novels available for pre-order.

So as we took our seats we were welcomed by the Transworld Team, and the first up was Joseph Knox who talked about SIRENS

Then we heard from Katie Khan who talked about HOLD BACK THE STARS

Then it was time for Tammy Cohen’s alter ego Rachel Rhys who talked about A DANGEROUS CROSSING

Then we heard from Mahsuda Snaith talk about THE THINGS WE THOUGHT WE KNEW

And finally we heard from T.A. Cotterell talk about WHAT ALICE KNEW, which has a most intriguing premise.

Shots eZine would like to thank Alison Barrow, Patsy Irwin and the Transworld Team from Penguin Random House UK for a most interesting evening, and we think you’ll be hearing a great deal about these books in 2017.
